Up to £45,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience, plus company van, tools, and PPE
About the Role
We are recruiting a Mechanical & Electrical Technician to join our Clean Water Division. In this role, you will use your mechanical and electrical knowledge and experience to inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify, or repair mechanical plant and associated electrical equipment safely, efficiently, and effectively with minimum supervision. Your work will ensure our sites remain operational, helping to reduce pollution and positively impact Thames Water's environmental footprint.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Prioritising health, safety, and wellbeing by complying with Health and Safety regulations and Thames Water’s guidelines.
- Undertaking reactive and planned maintenance, responding to alarms, fault finding, fixing issues or escalating as necessary.
- Installing new plant and equipment in line with current standards and regulations.
- Recording work and asset information to improve business performance and identifying potential risks for resolution.
- Providing specialist technical advice and coaching, including supporting the apprenticeship programme.
- Delivering excellent customer service by interacting professionally and respectfully with internal and external customers.

Experience
Time-served apprentice with significant experience in mechanical and electrical systems or holding NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 in mechanical or electrical engineering.

- Holds a full UK driving licence.
Qualifications
NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent qualifications and experience.
