As the MT & MRF Operations & Maintenance Manager, you will lead and coordinate all aspects of the Mechanical Treatment and Material Recovery Facility operations and maintenance. You will oversee the wider MT/MRF team to keep the plant running efficiently, maintaining plant availability and production targets. You will ensure all output specifications meet customer and regulatory requirements and manage operations in line with Veolia Minimum Requirements and the site Environmental Permit.
Your responsibilities will include coordinating operations and maintenance functions to deliver financial and technical performance targets, preparing an annual budget within approved revenue, cost, and profit parameters. You will develop robust plans to manage plant breakdowns and planned maintenance, minimize downtime, and report on plant performance including budgets, CAPEX, plant availability, and project progress.
You will lead and contribute to improvement projects on site, delivering plant efficiencies and cost-saving solutions while identifying opportunities for innovation and process improvement. Additionally, you will record and process accidents, incidents, significant close calls, and audit/inspection non-conformities, maintaining and reviewing technical, operational, and financial KPIs.

Experience
- Leadership and management experience in a large manufacturing or recycling facility
- Familiarity with Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and compliance requirements
- Waste management experience
- Technical proficiency with machinery and process equipment
- Financial management and business acumen
- Continuous improvement and project management experience
