Stantec’s Water division is expanding with exciting opportunities as part of our 2025 strategy and beyond. We work with top water clients across the South region and the UK on some of the largest, most iconic water projects in the industry. We deliver sustainable development and infrastructure projects that adapt to and mitigate the effects of climate change.
Within the High Wycombe, Reading, and London teams, we support clients across Water and Wastewater treatment, Water and wastewater networks, Storm Water overflows, and urban drainage. Our diverse pipeline covers the full project lifecycle from asset planning and strategy through concept, outline, and detailed design. We collaborate with contractor partners on major Design and Build projects and support colleagues nationwide as part of a UK-wide team committed to sustainability and community impact.
As a Principal Civil Engineer, you will lead civil engineering design on projects, working alongside overall project design leads to ensure successful delivery and client satisfaction. You will mentor and lead engineers within projects and contribute to the leadership of the wider civil engineering team. Experience
Extensive design experience within the UK water industry. Proven track record of successful project delivery and working collaboratively with project teams to develop innovative solutions. Experience in client-facing roles, leading client engagement and collaboration regularly.
About you
Passionate about the water and environment sector with a commitment to supporting the development of civil engineers. Strong leadership and mentoring skills. Collaborative and proactive approach to project delivery and client relationships.
Qualifications
Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a relevant subject. Ideally professionally qualified as a Chartered or Incorporated member of a relevant professional body such as ICE or CIWEM.
