About the Role
Ricardo Energy & Environment, a member of WSP, is a global strategic, environmental, and engineering consulting company with over 100 years of engineering excellence. We employ close to 3,000 people across more than 20 countries, delivering innovative and sustainable solutions to complex challenges. Our vision is to create a safe and sustainable world.
The Energy Infrastructure Transition Practice supports private organisations, industry associations, and public sector clients in transitioning their energy infrastructure towards a net-zero future. This role focuses on enabling large energy users and energy hubs, including maritime, rail, industrial users, and communities, to transition power demand, generation, and clean fuel infrastructure.
You will contribute to network innovation projects with power utilities and industry stakeholders, delivering research, trials, power systems analysis, technoeconomic modelling, programme management, and stakeholder engagement. This includes assessing decarbonisation opportunities and grid impacts, with recent projects involving rail-power system integration and renewable fuels for maritime clients.
The role also involves providing technical services to utilities, including generation connection compliance and technical standards reviews. You will provide technical leadership within the delivery team, support business development activities such as project ideation, tender bidding, and client presentations.
