The Energy Infrastructure Transition Practice focuses on enabling large energy users and energy hubs to transition their energy infrastructure towards a net-zero future. Projects span diverse sectors including maritime, rail, bulk transport, industrial users, and communities.
This role involves contributing to an expanding portfolio of clean energy infrastructure projects, including power demand and generation, clean fuel transition, network innovation, and technical services to utilities and industry. You will provide technical leadership, deliver high-quality consultancy services, and support business development activities such as project ideation, tender bidding, and client presentations.
You will work across a variety of projects, clients, industries, and locations, helping to design and implement technical solutions, strategies, and roadmaps to decarbonise energy infrastructure and power systems globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage clean energy infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery, client satisfaction, and strong financial performance
- Provide project governance, technical and financial reporting, client liaison, and quality assurance
- Contribute to wider energy infrastructure transition initiatives supported by expert consultants
- Develop technical proposals and support business development
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and sector networks
- Provide thought leadership on energy infrastructure transition at industry events
- Occasionally travel domestically and internationally for meetings and conferences
Experience
- Degree or higher in electrical engineering, renewable energy, energy transition, sustainable infrastructure, power systems, or related discipline
- Proven technical delivery expertise in renewables and/or power sector, focusing on energy infrastructure or project implementation
- Consultancy experience or demonstrable skills relevant to consultancy project delivery
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills for working with multidisciplinary, geographically dispersed teams
- Confident presenter to diverse audiences including senior stakeholders
- Effective time management and ability to prioritise multiple projects
- Fluency in English with excellent report writing skills

- Skilled at building and maintaining client relationships and networks
- Comfortable leading projects and working collaboratively in matrix teams
- Willingness to travel as required
Qualifications
- Degree level or higher in a relevant technical discipline
- Desirable: experience managing complex consultancy or implementation projects
- Desirable: experience in business development including tendering and client engagement
- Familiarity with technical analysis methods such as Cost Benefit Analysis, quantitative scenarios, and modelling
- Experience with renewable energy systems and/or smart port technologies is highly desirable
- Additional language skills (e.g. Spanish or other European languages) are a bonus but not essential
