We are seeking an experienced Principal Environmental Consultant with a strong technical background and the ability to manage projects throughout their lifecycle. This role focuses on water and environmental solutions alongside a wider array of consultancy services.
The successful candidate will manage technically complex, large water environmental projects, lead proposals, win work of significant value, and support staff development through mentoring. You will be client-facing, comfortable developing new work, and keen to own segments of our service offering.

Experience
- Significant professional consultancy experience within the water sector and beyond
- Strong technical expertise in water quality (marine and freshwater), surface water management, hydro-ecology, or related environmental disciplines
- Competence in water quality chemistry and understanding of links between water quality and aquatic ecology
- Experience with environmental discharge permitting and remediation techniques for contaminated ground and surface water
- Technical engagement experience with UK environmental regulators
- Excellent understanding of the UK water industry and its regulation
- Proven ability to manage large, technically complex water environmental projects
- Strong project and programme management skills
- Experience managing proposals and winning sizeable work
- People management experience including mentoring and staff development

Qualifications
- Environmentally related degree, ideally with a post-graduate qualification
- Clean full UK driving licence
