About the Role
Join AECOM's dynamic and multidisciplinary Water Team as a Principal Wastewater Modeller, playing a key role in delivering impactful water projects across the UK and internationally. You will lead the development, calibration, and verification of wastewater network models using platforms such as InfoWorks ICM. This role involves providing technical oversight and quality assurance across multiple projects, working closely with wider project teams to develop comprehensive solutions. You will contribute to significant flood alleviation schemes, pollution reduction, and infrastructure projects, supporting continuous professional growth. Our modelling team is fully integrated with other experts to deliver Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategies, Outline Business Cases, hydraulic models, and detailed designs. You will act as a technical lead on major frameworks and modelling programmes, supporting strategic planning, storm overflow reduction, and network resilience initiatives. Mentoring junior team members and contributing to bids and business development activities are key aspects of this role. Experience
Extensive experience in wastewater network modelling within consultancy or water utility environments. Proven ability to lead projects and provide technical direction. Strong proficiency in industry-standard modelling software such as InfoWorks ICM. Experience working with UK water industry regulations, AMP cycles, and wastewater planning frameworks.

Qualifications
Degree (BEng/MEng or MSc) in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources, or related discipline. Chartered status (CEng) or working towards chartership is desirable.
