Chingford, London - Clean Water Site, E4 7PX
Hours
38 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Plus standby and overtime opportunities upon completion of essential company training.
Salary
Up to £35,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
About the Role
Join Thames Water as a Process Technician Advanced and play a key role at our Clean Water site in Chingford. You will provide flexible cover to support existing operation teams based on resource needs and priorities. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to lead a team towards success and take the next step into management.
You will take ownership of various project work, including writing working procedures and instructions, contributing to health and safety improvements, liaising with contractors, raising quotes, and introducing innovative ideas to improve processes.
Utilising your experience in water treatment works, you will lead key field-based activities and support the Performance Manager in managing and coordinating a team of technicians on site.

Experience
- Hands-on operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment processes and plant.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring team members including apprentices and new starters.
- Proven ability to take ownership of faults, investigate thoroughly, and implement effective solutions.
- Experience supporting health and safety improvements and promoting a positive safety culture.

Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Operating Process Plant or working towards it.
- Management qualification or working towards it.
- IOSH trained or willing to complete health and safety training.
- Valid driving licence is essential.
