Hours
Monday to Friday 7:30 - 15:36, 38 hours per week including working on a call-out rota with additional payment. Once on full working pattern, working 1 weekend every 6 weeks.
Salary
Starting from £28,335 per annum depending on skills and experience.

You will be part of the frontline operations team based at Bourton-on-the-Water STW, covering the picturesque Cotswolds. This essential role ensures the wastewater treatment works operate efficiently and safely to maintain supply to customers and protect the environment.
Your responsibilities will include monitoring, inspecting, and maintaining equipment, reporting defects or performing first-time fixes where possible. You will take ownership of health and safety for yourself and your colleagues by escalating or resolving concerns appropriately. You will also collate and report data to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance.
There is no requirement for previous water industry experience; fresh perspectives are welcomed. You will work outdoors in all weather conditions and participate in a 7-day working week rota including standby duties. You will be part of a team delivering excellent performance, understanding your impact on Thames Water’s overall mission. Adaptability, reliability, good time management, and a positive attitude are essential. You will also be expected to operate complex processes with high-quality controls and complete basic computer tasks such as inputting site data and using handheld devices.

Experience
Experience in delivering against challenging upper-quartile business targets and performance commitments is desirable but not essential. Previous experience in a similar operational or technical role is advantageous.
