Up to £60,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.

About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join Thames Water as a Programme Manager (Water Capital Projects). You will work closely with the framework delivery partners and Operational Managers, responsible for the maintenance and CAPEX investment programmes for the Service Reservoirs, Slow Sand Filter refurbishments, and the GAC & Ozone treatment processes. You will oversee the overall programme and line management of the Project Engineers, leading each of the individual programmes, with a combined value of up to £20 million each year. Your key responsibilities will include ensuring the delivery of a multi-year outage programme within forecasted costs and timelines, acting as an escalation point to unlock any blockers, continuously improving programme delivery, making strategic decisions on priorities, and managing contractor costs while ensuring quality assurance and safe working practices.

Experience
Experience in delivering capital maintenance projects and/or operational clean water treatment processes. Experience in managing multi-disciplinary contractors to deliver safely to time, budget, and quality. Proven ability to manage indirect teams and multiple stakeholders.

About you
Commercial acumen within the Water industry or a similar field. Working knowledge and awareness of health and safety regulations. Additional skills such as familiarity with bespoke systems like Sphera, APS, PTW, and SCADA would be beneficial, but training will be provided. Understanding of roles, duties, and requirements under CDM (2015) is also advantageous.

No specific qualifications are required, but relevant experience and a proactive approach to learning are essential.
