Hours
36 hours a week across four working days plus one off-the-job training day. Working hours vary but are predominantly Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 3:30pm.

About the Role
Kick-start your future supporting the UK’s largest water and wastewater provider. You’ll help deliver a portfolio of small to medium capital projects and learn how engineering solutions keep services running for millions of customers. The apprenticeship involves supporting the delivery of mechanical, electrical, civil, control, and instrumentation projects up to £5 million. You will work closely with operations and contractors to scope, specify, and cost value-for-money solutions while promoting a zero-compromise approach to health & safety and ensuring CDM compliance. Collaboration with delivery partners to keep projects on time and reduce business risk is essential. Responsibilities include drafting and reviewing RAMS, project plans, CPPs, and commissioning documents, overseeing commissioning and handover to operational teams, and ensuring training, test certificates, and as-built drawings are completed and provided. This role offers hands-on experience and on-the-job learning with a construction design and build technician (Level 4) training course over a duration of 3 years and 6 months, starting Tuesday 1 September 2026.
Experience
Previous relevant industry experience is welcomed and the apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect your existing knowledge.

Qualifications
Essential GCSEs:
- Maths and English (grade 9-4 or A-C)
- Relevant subject (grade A-C/Pass/Merit/Distinction)
Other relevant qualifications are encouraged to be shared and will be considered for apprenticeship adjustment.
