We are seeking a Project Manager with strong experience in managing complex consultancy projects and stakeholder engagement, ideally within sustainable aviation, transport, and climate policy. You will lead large, multidisciplinary projects involving multiple partners and complex logistics, including organising workshops and training events, sometimes overseas. Your work will focus on strategic policy advice, regulatory approaches, and supporting private sector decarbonisation efforts.

Key responsibilities include managing project delivery, client satisfaction, financial oversight, stakeholder consultation, business development support, and mentoring junior team members. You will represent Ricardo externally and contribute to business growth.

Experience
- Educated to Master’s degree level or higher in sustainability, sciences, economics, geography, engineering (e.g. aeronautical, civil, chemical), political science or related discipline.
- Proven experience managing consultancy projects/programmes and stakeholder consultation activities.
- Relevant consultancy or advisory experience in sustainable aviation, transport, and climate policy.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, able to convey technical subjects clearly to diverse audiences.
- Ability to build and maintain trust-based client and partner relationships.
- Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Fluency in English with excellent report writing skills.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Experience working with the European Commission or similar clients.
- Knowledge of ICAO’s long-term aspirational goals, CORSIA, and EU Fit for 55 package.
- Familiarity with policy evaluation methods and tools.
- Experience organising workshops and delivering technical assistance.
- Understanding of quantitative scenarios and modelling.
- Additional language skills relevant to Europe, Latin America, or Southeast Asia are a bonus but not essential.
