Competitive salary from £56,000 to £67,000 per annum
About the Role
This is a high profile Project Manager role working on significant water infrastructure projects within Thames Water. You will have the opportunity to build on your Project Management experience and work as part of a team dedicated to securing the future of the water supply for London. The role offers exposure to new and exciting water treatment techniques and involvement in an iconic initiative.
Key responsibilities include:
- Establishing and continuously promoting a proactive health, safety & environment culture across complex and high-risk project portfolios and service providers.
- Developing and delivering optimized projects to achieve all regulatory, statutory, and internal outputs, deadlines, and targets.
- Accountability throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring governance compliance and engaging internal and external stakeholders to enable smooth transition of project outcomes into operational business.
- Actively protecting, managing, and enhancing Thames Water’s reputation with external customers and stakeholders.
- Driving development of project briefs, including supplementary information for early contractor involvement phases.
- Supporting the development and definition of tender packages, including scope of work, to assist the Procurement team through each stage of the tender process while meeting demanding timescales.
- Managing and assuring contractor performance to deliver project outcomes on time, within cost, and to quality standards.

Experience
- Educated to HNC/degree level with further or outstanding role-specific experience in a relevant operational or project management capacity.
- Proven experience managing, leading, and developing people in a culture of accountability and achievement.
- Excellent contractual awareness of Project Management work.
- Demonstrated track record of managing the performance of third-party organisations.
- Ability to set up and regularly implement feedback systems to improve business performance.
- Skilled in delivering tough messages with empathy.

- Previous experience in water or utilities sectors is desirable but not essential.
Qualifications
- HNC or degree level education in a relevant discipline.
