About the Role
This is a high-profile Project Manager role offering career development and a varied working environment. You will have single-point accountability and leadership for delivering multiple projects within a defined geographical programme of work. Your responsibilities include managing early project development stages, building and presenting business cases for governance approval, and assuring consultant and contractor performance to deliver outcomes on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Key duties include developing and delivering optimised projects to meet all regulatory, statutory, and internal targets; ensuring governance compliance and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle; refining project briefs and managing the route to consent strategy; robust financial forecasting across months, years, and AMP intervals; managing risks and changes transparently through effective reporting and escalation; driving continuous improvement; and commercially managing contracts to achieve optimal outcomes.

Requirements

Experience
- Proven track record managing the performance of third-party organisations.
- Excellent contractual awareness in Project Management.
- Financial capability to manage Profit & Loss, revenue expenditure, and cash flow to meet financial goals.
- Understanding of Health and Safety standards, legislation, and governance.
- Experience setting up and implementing feedback systems to improve business performance.
- Ability to deliver tough messages with empathy.
- Ability to develop excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong external customer service ethic with a proven track record of delivering improvements.

About You
- Educated to HNC/degree level or equivalent with relevant operational or project management experience.
- Positive, proactive, and able to work collaboratively.
- Ideally holds a driving licence and has access to transportation.
- Previous experience in water or utilities sectors is advantageous but not essential.

Qualifications
- HNC, degree, or equivalent qualification relevant to project or operational management.
