About the Role
This is a high-profile Project Manager role offering career development and a varied working environment. You will have single-point accountability and leadership for the delivery of multiple projects within a programme of work in a defined geographical area. Your responsibilities will include managing early project development stages, building and presenting business cases for governance approval, and assuring the performance of consultants and contractors to deliver project outcomes on time, within cost, and to quality standards.
Key duties include developing and delivering optimised projects to meet all regulatory, statutory, and internal outputs, deadlines, and targets; ensuring governance compliance and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle; refining project briefs and managing the route to consent strategy; robust financial forecasting across months, years, and AMP intervals; managing risk and change transparently through effective reporting and escalation; driving continuous improvement and delivering against stretching targets; and commercially managing all contract matters to achieve optimal outcomes for Thames Water.

Experience
- Proven track record managing the performance of third-party organisations
- Excellent contractual awareness of Project Management work
- Financial capability to run a Profit & Loss, managing revenue expenditure and cash flow to deliver financial goals
- Understanding of Health and Safety standards, legislation, and governance
About you
- Educated to HNC/degree level with further or outstanding role-specific experience in relevant operational or project management capacity
- Ability to set up and implement feedback systems to improve business performance and deliver tough messages with empathy
- Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders and a positive approach
- Demonstrated strong external customer service ethic, with proven improvements in customer experience
- Ideally holds a driving licence and has access to transportation
Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications at HNC or degree level preferred

- Previous experience in water or utilities sector
