About the Role
Join Thames Water as a Project Manager and play a key role in shaping the future of clean water treatment. You will work alongside the Senior Project Manager to deliver essential upgrades at Hampton and Ashford Water Treatment Works in West London. This role involves defining the scope, programme, and budget for AMP8 delivery, collaborating closely with internal and external contractors during the early stages of this innovative project.

Your responsibilities will include establishing and promoting a proactive health, safety, and environment culture across complex and high-risk project portfolios, ensuring accountability for project delivery within time, cost, and quality targets. You will develop and deliver optimised projects to meet all regulatory, statutory, and internal deadlines and targets, manage governance compliance, and engage stakeholders to ensure smooth transition of project outcomes into operational business.

Additional duties include protecting and enhancing Thames Water’s reputation with customers and stakeholders, developing project briefs for early contractor involvement phases, and managing contractor performance to deliver project outcomes. A valid driver's licence is required for this role.

Requirements

Experience
- Proven experience working alongside internal and external contractors within a project scope.
- Background in operational or project management roles.
- Contractual awareness related to project management.
- Track record of managing third-party organisation performance.
- Experience setting up and implementing feedback systems to improve business performance.

- Able to engage with multiple functions and deliver difficult messages with empathy.
- Driven, proactive, and eager to add value.
- Exposure to Major Projects and Capital Investment schemes is desirable.
- Holds a valid driver's licence.
