About the Role
AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, supporting data centers and all associated equipment to ensure continuous customer access to AWS innovation. As the Regional Enviro Audit Lead for AWS Environmental, you will join a dynamic and expanding team critical to AWS's growth and environmental compliance across the EMEA region. You will lead complex environmental audit initiatives, influence stakeholders, and work independently to ensure the highest standards of environmental performance and regulatory compliance for AWS data center operations. This role involves managing environmental requirements from site selection through decommissioning, driving continuous improvement, and embedding audit skills throughout the organization. You will collaborate cross-functionally, present to senior leadership, and contribute to long-term organizational goals while fostering an inclusive culture that values diversity, equity, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and evolve the Environmental Audit program to meet changing organizational and environmental needs
- Collaborate with environmental teams, operations leaders, and management to maintain program relevance and effectiveness
- Identify and assess environmental risks and develop strategic plans to mitigate them
- Oversee audit program design, deployment, and training to ensure compliance and performance improvement
- Monitor, measure, and report audit program performance, conducting regular internal audits and analyzing data for trends and gaps
- Drive continual improvement through management reviews, corrective actions, and innovative approaches to environmental performance

Experience
- Project management including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management
- Managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules
- Building and evaluating system-level technical design
- Environmental compliance and permitting, waste management, contractual, regulatory, and liability assessments
- Environmental permit evaluations and applications, EIAs, and water discharge requirements
- Fluency in French, Spanish, German, or Italian (spoken, written, and read)
