Repair & Maintenance Technician


Location
Kentish Town, London (NW5 1TN) with occasional travel to South London
Hours
45 hours per week on a shift pattern, including a standby rota with additional payment
Salary
Starting salary of £35,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience
About the Role
As a Repair & Maintenance Technician, you will lead a two-person Repair & Maintenance (R&M) team responsible for repair and maintenance across our North London network. You will ensure all work is completed to the correct safety and quality standards. This role involves working outdoors in all weather conditions and occasionally travelling to South London. You will be provided with a van and full PPE to support your duties. The role offers a performance-related pay plan linked to company targets, 24 days annual leave (increasing to 28 with length of service, plus bank holidays), and access to a generous pension scheme and a wide range of health, wellbeing, and financial benefits.

Experience
- Experience or training in repair and maintenance within the water industry is essential.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including working outdoors in all weather conditions.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
- A can-do, positive attitude with openness to new ideas and change.
- Self-motivated and confident in completing tasks to a high standard.
- Competent in using computers and other IT equipment is advantageous.
- Must hold a full UK driver’s licence.
- Leadership skills to effectively manage a two-person team.
Qualifications
- Street Works (NRSWA) and SSSTS qualifications are required.
- Additional qualifications such as EUSR Water Hygiene card, Service Avoidance L2, and/or First Aid are advantageous.
