About the Role
As a Senior Consultant in Climate Change Adaptation, you will contribute to delivering consultancy projects focused on climate adaptation and resilience. Your work will support local, regional, and national governments in their climate adaptation planning processes, while also contributing to business development activities. Key responsibilities include managing and delivering adaptation projects, climate data gathering and processing, assessing vulnerabilities and risks, delivering spatial climate risk assessments, identifying and prioritising adaptation options, and mainstreaming adaptation into sectoral policies and strategies. You will also develop costed implementation plans, finance strategies, and monitoring and evaluation frameworks for adaptation policies and programmes. Additionally, you will prepare funding proposals to major climate funds and participate in capacity building through workshop facilitation and delivery. Experience
- Higher degree in a numerate or scientific subject, or equivalent academic experience
- Over 5 years of experience in adaptation planning at city, sub-national, or national level
- Experience in at least three of the following: climate data processing, vulnerability and risk assessment, spatial risk assessments, adaptation option prioritisation, adaptation-mitigation co-benefits assessment, mainstreaming adaptation, implementation planning, finance strategies, monitoring and evaluation frameworks, or funding proposal preparation
- Over 5 years of consultancy experience
- Experience facilitating virtual and face-to-face stakeholder consultations, workshops, and capacity-building events
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

- Desirable: Experience designing adaptation or climate-proofed projects
- Desirable: Experience delivering services to private sector partners including physical risk and materiality assessments
- Desirable: Familiarity with AI applications in environmental or climate contexts
