Our vision is to create a safe and sustainable world by delivering innovative, cross-sector sustainable products and solutions.
We are seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Water Practice, which has a strong portfolio of projects providing technical support on water management and ecology across diverse clients in the water, developer, and public sectors. In this role, you will work closely with project management to implement ecological assessments, coordinate surveys, consult with third parties and regulators, and identify mitigation measures supporting client proposals and operations.
You will lead and manage the technical work of junior staff and sub-consultants, and depending on experience, manage projects and their direction. The role offers flexibility to focus on technical expertise, project management, bid and tender development, or a generalist approach. You will engage in a variety of tasks within aquatic ecology and related disciplines, contributing to innovative and sustainable environmental solutions.
Ricardo fosters an inclusive culture where every voice matters. We support flexible working arrangements including remote, office-based, or hybrid options, and prioritize wellbeing to help employees flourish and reach their full potential.
Our benefits package includes 25 days' annual leave plus 8 flexible bank holidays, a competitive pension scheme, life assurance, professional subscription reimbursements, and a range of flexible benefits supporting physical and mental health.

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneously.
About you
- A self-starter with excellent team working and communication skills.
- Sound understanding of ecological impact assessment and close attention to detail.
- Comfortable with both fieldwork and office-based tasks including coordination, data analysis, client contact, and report writing.
