This role offers a hands-on opportunity to protect biodiversity while helping clients deliver projects safely, compliantly, and efficiently. You will work within a technically strong, multi-disciplinary environment where your ecological expertise, practical judgment, and communication skills will have a visible impact on project outcomes.

The role covers a wide range of ecological services for renewable energy, residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects, including onshore elements of major wind developments, onshore wind, and solar schemes. You will contribute to compliant project delivery by carrying out site inspections, supervising ecological surveys, maintaining accurate records, and responding to unexpected ecological issues on site.
Your impact will include shaping successful project delivery by protecting ecological interests while keeping works moving in a practical and compliant way. You will support regional and national project success, strengthen client confidence, and help maintain the organisation’s reputation for technical quality, innovation, and sustainable outcomes. Additionally, you will mentor junior ECoWs and technicians, sharing knowledge and building capability within the wider ecology team.
