About the Role
Join AECOM's dynamic Nature team as a Senior Ecologist and help shape the future of the environment. You will work on a diverse portfolio of ecology programs and projects across sectors such as power and renewables, infrastructure, environment, and transport. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including landscape, GIS, engineering, sustainability, and drainage, you will contribute to projects like major solar farms, cable tunnels, electricity network upgrades, habitats regulations assessments, and masterplanning for residential developments.

Your responsibilities will include supporting the preparation of high-quality, commercially astute bids and tenders for ecological services; planning, scheduling, and organising all phases of ecological project work to meet programme and budget requirements; delivering high-quality ecological consultancy and advisory services; developing technically robust and pragmatic solutions to complex ecological issues; effective communication within the ecology team and with clients; supporting the production of ecology chapters for environmental statements and protected species licence applications; and authoring or technically checking project deliverables to ensure high-quality outputs.

At AECOM, you will thrive in an inclusive, forward-thinking environment with access to career development opportunities, technical practice networks, AECOM University, volunteering days, and a flexible hybrid working model designed to support your work-life balance and well-being. Become part of a team of around 230 professional experts across the UK&I, including national and global leaders in impact assessment, habitat creation, ecosystem restoration, enhancement, and management.
