About the Role
Join AECOM's dynamic Nature team as a Senior Ecologist and help shape the future of the environment. You will work on a diverse portfolio of ecology programs and projects across sectors such as power and renewables, infrastructure, environment, and transport. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including landscape, GIS, engineering, sustainability, and drainage, you will contribute to projects like large solar farms, cable tunnels, electricity network upgrades, habitats regulations assessments, and masterplanning for new residential developments. Your responsibilities will include supporting the preparation of high-quality, commercially astute bids and tenders, planning and organising ecological project work, ensuring resources and budgets meet programme requirements, delivering consultancy and advisory services, developing pragmatic ecological solutions, communicating effectively with clients and team members, producing ecology chapters for environmental statements and protected species licence applications, and authoring or reviewing project deliverables to ensure high-quality outputs. Experience
- Demonstrable experience in planning and delivery of ecological services on projects in the UK or Ireland
- Excellent field skills in at least one specialist area including any protected species licences
- Experience mentoring and supporting ecology team members
