About the Role
Join AECOM, a global infrastructure consulting firm dedicated to delivering a better world. We are seeking experienced Senior or Principal Hydrogeologists to support our UK and international projects. You will join a team of over 30 groundwater experts working on diverse projects including groundwater source investigation, dewatering, groundwater flooding, impact assessments for major infrastructure schemes, water management, and strategy development for sustainable resource use. You will provide expert advice on hydrogeological conceptualisation, support delivery of water resources and engineering hydrogeology projects, prepare bids to support business growth, mentor junior staff, and contribute to innovation in data and groundwater modelling. Our work spans public and private sectors, supporting water companies, bottlers, mining operations, and energy transition projects such as ground source heat and geothermal schemes. This is an opportunity to make a tangible impact on water resource management and infrastructure development while working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

Experience
- Proven experience working in groundwater and the water environment industry
- Experience advising on hydrogeology across UK, Ireland, and international projects
- Track record of delivering water resources and engineering hydrogeology projects

About you
- Strong technical expertise and ability to conceptualise complex hydrogeological systems
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills to support junior staff development
- Innovative mindset with interest in developing new approaches to data and groundwater modelling
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and across sectors

Qualifications
- BSc Hons degree in Geology, Geography, or related field
- Relevant MSc in a practical environment-related subject
- Membership of a relevant professional body with a commitment to achieving chartered status
