About the Role
Are you passionate about improving the environmental performance of infrastructure development projects and supporting the UK’s net zero commitments? Join AECOM’s established Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) team of over 165 professionals across the UK and Ireland. You will work on large-scale development projects transforming infrastructure, including energy generation (carbon capture and storage, hydrogen, renewables such as large scale solar and floating offshore wind), energy distribution and transmission (including Great Grid Upgrade projects), carbon capture pipelines, strategic rail projects, highway improvements, greenway projects, regeneration developments, and projects across ecommerce, minerals and waste, water, defence, aviation, commercial, residential and industrial sectors.

In this role, you will coordinate environmental inputs to EIA screening and scoping reports, environmental assessments/Environmental Statements, and supporting documents, including technical review of specialist chapters. You will be involved throughout all project stages from early strategy and site identification, feasibility, optioneering, outline and detailed design, through to construction and operation/maintenance. You will work across multiple consenting regimes such as DCO, TCPA, TWA, and hybrid Bills.

Your responsibilities will include ensuring the highest quality standards for deliverables, developing project management skills by coordinating resources and budgets, collaborating with integrated design teams to identify environmental constraints and mitigation solutions, and maintaining direct client contact. You will also support business development activities and promote AECOM’s environmental services internally and externally.

Join a dynamic environment where innovation, inclusion, and professional growth are encouraged, and contribute to projects that create a positive and tangible impact on communities and the environment.
