£46,000 to £65,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience

About the Role

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will oversee the design development of multiple water and wastewater network projects from initial concept and feasibility through to contract award. You will identify, analyse, and mitigate project risks to enable clear scope definition and robust contractor pricing. You will ensure contractors complete detailed designs and implement any necessary design changes during construction. Additionally, you will support Project Teams during asset commissioning and handover, conduct design reviews to ensure safe and robust solutions that meet business and operational requirements, and act as the key contact for the CDM Designer or Principal Designer role during initial design stages. This role offers a hybrid working pattern with a requirement to be on-site 2-3 days per week.

Experience
- Proven experience in project delivery within process industries.
- Experience overseeing design development and managing project risks.
- Understanding of Health & Safety requirements in the construction industry.

About you
- Passionate and driven to make a positive impact.
- Strong communicator and able to act as a key contact for design and safety roles.
- Able to work effectively both on-site and remotely.
- Holds a valid driver’s license and has access to a car (preferred but not essential).

Qualifications
- Engineering HNC, degree, or master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Chartered engineer status or approaching chartership with a relevant professional organisation.
- Understanding of industrial process decision-making within your engineering discipline.
