Hampton, London (Hybrid office location in the Thames Water Catchment)

Hours
36 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with 2-3 days on-site

Salary
£46,000 to £65,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience

About the Role

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will oversee the design development of multiple water network projects from initial concept and feasibility through to contract award. You will identify, analyse, and mitigate project risks to enable clear scope definition and robust contractor pricing. You will ensure contractors complete detailed designs and make necessary design changes during construction. Additionally, you will support Project Teams during asset commissioning and handover, conduct design reviews to ensure safe and robust solutions that meet business and operational requirements, and act as the key contact for the CDM Designer or Principal Designer role during initial design stages. This role requires a valid driver’s license and access to a car, although applications from candidates without a vehicle are welcome.

Requirements

Experience
- Proven experience in project delivery within process industries.
- Understanding of Health & Safety requirements in the Construction Industry.
- Experience in managing design development and contractor coordination.

About you
- Passionate and driven to make a difference in water treatment and environmental protection.
- Strong communicator and collaborator, able to support project teams effectively.
- Flexible and adaptable to hybrid working and site visits.
- Holds a valid driver’s license and access to a car is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications
- Engineering HNC, degree, or master’s degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.
- Chartered engineer status or approaching chartership with a relevant professional organisation.
- Solid understanding of industrial process decisions within your engineering discipline.
