About the Role
At Veolia, we see the world as an opportunity to help take better care of its resources and create a better place for everyone. We are seeking a Senior Remediation Manager who shares our commitment to ecological transformation and genuine change. In this role, you will be a subject matter expert in contaminated land remediation, particularly on industrial and COMAH sites. You will provide customers with expert advice, guidance, and support to successfully deliver contaminated land remediation projects that meet their goals.

You will manage environmental site assessments including Phase I and Phase II investigations, sampling programmes, and interpretation of findings. Using your technical expertise, you will develop and implement remediation strategies and plans to address complex soil and groundwater contamination. You will lead the design and delivery of remediation solutions ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality and environmental standards.

Leading and coordinating multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors, you will foster a collaborative environment focused on shared objectives. Building strong relationships with customers, regulators, consultants, and suppliers will be key to maintaining high levels of satisfaction. You will also identify opportunities for growth and continuous improvement, supporting tenders and new business while enhancing Veolia's remediation processes and environmental outcomes.

Veolia offers a supportive and inclusive culture with access to a company pension scheme, discounts on a wide range of retailers, resources for physical, mental, and financial wellbeing, 24/7 virtual GP access for you and your household, one paid volunteer day per year, ongoing training and development, and employee financial wellbeing support including early access to earned pay and financial coaching.

Requirements

Experience

Proven track record managing large-scale remediation projects valued at £1m+ involving multiple teams and subcontractors. Strong knowledge of UK contaminated land legislation and regulatory frameworks, including working with Environment Agency, SEPA, NRW, or NIEA. Technical expertise in environmental site assessments and remediation strategy development and implementation.

About you
Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills with confidence engaging senior stakeholders, customers, regulators, and technical specialists. Proactive, commercially aware, and solutions-focused with strong attention to detail. Committed to safety, compliance, sustainability, and continuous improvement. Ability to foster collaboration across multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.

Desirable: Understanding and knowledge of working alongside demolition projects.
