What you'll be doing;
- Ensure Quality, Health, Safety and Environment remains the number one priority within the transport operation, providing a safe workplace for employees.
- Manage the service delivery on a daily basis, including the dynamic planning of work to vehicles/routes, proactively communicating with customers, maintaining contact with drivers throughout the day, and undertaking debriefs.
- Ensure that Service excellence is delivered, including delivery of service, recovery (next working day) and communication of non-service/missed lifts within company parameters.
- Assist the Service Manager to identify routing efficiencies and capacity.
- Effective container stock level control and customer and driver communication.
- Assist the Service Manager to ensure People management processes and procedures are adhered to in line with company policies.
- Deliver Toolbox Talks to drivers and operatives.
- Conduct first stage formal investigations into accidents and incidents as directed by the Service Manager.
- Adhere to and comply with all aspects of Operator Licence obligations.
- Manage the day to day activities of all drivers at the depot including compliance, performance and leave entitlements.
- Work closely with the Service Manager to deliver depot KPI’s.
- Ensure that all safety concerns and near misses are logged on Ecoonline and closed off within the company’s agreed timescales and quality feedback is provided to originators.

Experience
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of transport compliance and Working Time Directive (WTD).
- Experience working with a quality management system e.g. ISO.
- Experience managing transport compliance.
- Experienced IT skills, with the ability to adapt to Google operating systems.
- Good communication skills communicating with people of all levels including drivers, frontline employees and customers.
- Ability to organise a busy workload and operate at a fast pace.

- Previous experience operating within a similar industry such as waste, transport or logistics.
