Location
Birmingham, covering the south side of the M25. Company headquarters based in Gloucester.

Hours
Full time with participation in an on-call rota to provide out-of-hours cover.

Salary
£35,000 - £45,000 per year, with overtime paid at time and a half and an on-call allowance.

About the Role
Universal Business Team, a rapidly growing family-run SME within the water industry, is seeking a skilled Service Engineer to join their vibrant team. You will be responsible for installing, commissioning, servicing, and repairing pumps, pump systems, and other mechanical equipment. Your role involves responding to maintenance, repair, and commissioning requests across the designated area. You will conduct site visits as scheduled, produce detailed reports and recommendations, and attend emergency call-outs when required. Ensuring safety at all times by producing robust risk assessments and method statements is essential. You will perform routine preventative maintenance on wastewater systems, identify and address faults, and maintain professionalism and diligence to prioritize customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will manage work effectively, communicate progress with schedulers, keep up to date with company policies, and maintain vehicle cleanliness and stock levels. A company van, tools, and mobile phone will be provided to support your work.

Experience
- Technical knowledge of water boosting technology and packaged pump stations
- Experience in the pump industry or construction-related roles
- Confined Space Entry Qualification
- Current CSCS qualification
- Some electrical training
- Emergency First Aid at Work Qualification
