Up to £64,376.47 per annum plus 15% annual bonus and Veolia benefits

About the Role
As a Shift Team Leader, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Energy Recovery Facility, managing a shift team and day operations staff while ensuring compliance with all site environmental permits. You will operate and monitor plant from a central control room and operate plant and equipment as required, including mobile plant and refuse crane. You will supervise and deploy manpower to ensure cost-effective, safe, and efficient operation of all site activities within operational procedures and emergency situations. Additionally, you will provide effective administration and enforcement of Safety Rules and Health and Safety policies, as well as technical supervision and assistance for company and contract staff engaged at the ERF. Experience
Proven operational experience in Power Generation or Steam raising plant environments with strong technical plant knowledge. Demonstrated experience leading and managing teams in an engineering background with shift-based operations. Comprehensive understanding of environmental and safety legislation applicable to Energy Recovery Facilities and power generation. Previous experience working rotating shift patterns including days, nights, weekends, and public holidays in a continuous operation environment.

About you
Strong technical background in Health & Safety awareness, including implementation of safe systems of work and permit-to-work procedures. Ability to communicate technical information effectively at all levels and produce clear, concise operational and incident reports.

Qualifications
Relevant qualifications and training in engineering, health and safety, or related fields are desirable to support your technical and supervisory responsibilities.
