About the Role
At M Group Energy, we deliver essential infrastructure services across electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering, and home decarbonisation. As a Smart Meter Dual Fuel Engineer, you will join the leading provider of metering services in the UK energy retail sector, working within our Metering team. Your main responsibility will be exchanging traditional meters for smart meters and responding to emergency and maintenance appointments on behalf of E.ON NEXT, ensuring customers’ smart meters operate correctly.
Customer service is a top priority; you will complete around 5 jobs per day, explaining the benefits and safe usage of smart meters to customers. You will travel around your area using a tablet to manage your schedule, which is accessible up to two weeks in advance. Continuous training will be provided to develop and maintain your skills.
Health and safety is central to everything you do, supported by a comprehensive onboarding journey and ongoing training. Experience
- Experience installing gas and electric smart meters
- Previous MOCOPA experience to a multi-rate level is desirable

About you
- Valid UK driving licence held for at least 1 year with less than 6 points
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work independently
- Motivated to learn and develop within the energy sector
- Enjoy meeting new people and working in a dynamic environment

Qualifications
- CCN1 / CMA1 / CMA3 all with MET1, or NVQ Level 2 in Smart Metering Dual Fuel preferred but not essential to apply
- Bonus qualifications such as REGT1 (Medium Pressure) and 3 phase are advantageous
- Ideally registered on the EUSR portal
