An exciting opportunity for a Graduate Electrical Design Engineer to join our electrical design team. This role is ideally suited to a career minded, ambitious individual who is looking for that unique opportunity to join our growing electrical design team working alongside senior electrical engineers and designers to develop and grow, eventually working on their own projects. The work is predominantly building services based, including occasional process works varying from project to project.

Committed to innovation and excellence in all we do, our specialist services encompass consultancy, design, construction, commissioning and validation delivering turnkey projects throughout the UK.

Based at our Rochdale head office comprising engineering, design and construction teams, the successful candidate will sit within our design team consisting of architectural, mechanical and electrical design engineers, together with REVIT coordinators working within an open office environment that aids collaborative working throughout the various project design RIBA stages. The successful candidate will work alongside senior electrical engineers and designers.

Electrical works consist of LV distribution, small power and mechanical/HVAC power, earthing, lighting and emergency lighting, access control, CCTV, security, voice and data, fire detection/VESDA/alarm, solar PV, renewables and facilities monitoring. Where projects include process elements, works occasionally consist of control and instrumentation. All project workflows and collaboration are controlled using the Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).

Roles & Responsibilities
- Production of various documents and schedules
- Production of LV distribution schemes mainly using Electrical OM and occasionally Trimble (Amtech) Pro-Design
- Production of lighting and emergency lighting schemes mainly using Relux and occasionally DIALux
- Production of LV and earthing single line, block cable and schematic diagrams using Autodesk AutoCAD
- Development of small power/mechanical power, earthing, lighting/emergency lighting, access control, CCTV, security, voice/data, fire detection/VESDA/alarm, solar PV, renewables and facilities monitoring layout drawings using Autodesk REVIT

Requirements

Experience
- Exposure to Electrical Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Relux and DIALux
- Experience with Trimble (Amtech) Pro-Design
- Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD
- Knowledge of OM
- Knowledge of Autodesk REVIT
- Hazardous area knowledge
- Solar PV knowledge
- Renewables knowledge

About You
Career minded and ambitious individual eager to learn and grow within a collaborative design team environment. Strong communication skills and ability to work alongside senior engineers and designers. Motivated to develop skills in electrical design across building services and process projects.

Qualifications
- BEng or MEng in Electrical Engineering
- Full UK driving licence
