About the Role
In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting the System Optimisation Team, helping ensure Thames Water delivers safe, reliable and high-quality water services to our customers. You’ll work closely with operational, engineering and leakage teams to monitor, analyse and optimise the performance of the clean water network — keeping it stable and resilient, even in emergency situations. Key responsibilities include monitoring, investigating and resolving pressure issues, customer complaints and critical alarms; supporting the System Optimisation Engineer during planned and unplanned operational events; analysing network performance data and identifying solutions to maintain system stability; coordinating logging of pressure-managed areas and ensuring data accuracy; supporting risk assessments and operational planning to minimise customer impact; contributing to wider strategies for managing pressures, flows, reservoir levels and pumping regimes; and ensuring all operations follow approved Asset Management Procedures.

Experience
Proven experience working with data and strong analytical skills are essential.
About you
Ability to problem-solve and communicate clearly with multiple stakeholders; willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced operational environment; full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable but not essential; knowledge of GIS mapping software or hydraulic modelling is a plus.
Qualifications
An engineering degree or similar technical background would be a strong advantage.
