About the Role
Drive ecological excellence as the Southampton Team Leader at Tetra Tech. You will manage, inspire, and grow a regional ecology team, overseeing complex ecological projects from initial appraisal through to final outputs. This role balances hands-on technical delivery with leadership, mentoring, and commercial responsibilities. You will shape bids, coordinate resources, and ensure all work meets regulatory, environmental, and quality standards. Representing the region within Tetra Tech’s national Nature team, you will contribute to strategic growth and strengthen client relationships. Your leadership will raise technical standards, grow market share in the South East, and embed best practices to improve project outcomes and create career pathways for ecologists. Core responsibilities include team development, client engagement, project leadership, technical expertise, and business growth.

Experience
Proven ecological consultancy experience with a strong track record of leadership and commercial awareness. Experience managing and mentoring teams and delivering complex ecological projects.

Experienced ecologist with the ability to lead from the front, combining technical expertise with commercial acumen. Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships. Qualifications
Degree in a relevant discipline. Full CIEEM membership required; Chartered Ecologist or Chartered Environmentalist preferred. Full UK driving licence essential.
