About the Role
Tetra Tech seeks Trainee Leakage Technicians for permanent, full-time roles to support regional leakage reduction programmes. You will work within multi-disciplinary teams including three-person site survey crews and office specialists, delivering leakage detection, monitoring, and repair activities across multiple regional contracts. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting field investigations, capturing pressure and flow data, supporting excavations, completing electronic reporting, and contributing to regulatory targets. This operational and client-facing role is supported by full training, mentoring, and an allocated company van.
In the short term, you will develop core leakage detection skills and support KPI delivery across district metered areas. Over the medium term, you will take on increased responsibility for planning and executing detection programmes, mentoring junior colleagues, and improving operational efficiency. Long term, the role offers a clear progression pathway into senior leakage technician, team leader, or specialist analytical roles within Tetra Tech, working on projects that reduce water loss and protect customers and the environment.
Tetra Tech is a leading provider of consulting and engineering services worldwide, offering a collaborative environment that supports individual performance, innovation, and creativity. We support public and private sector clients on local, national, and international projects to deliver sustainable and resilient solutions. Our UK, Ireland, and Netherlands operations include more than 6,000 employees who are Leading with Science® to solve complex problems.
In alignment with the Equality Act 2010, reasonable adjustments will be made to support candidates and employees requiring additional arrangements, including adaptations to work schedules, training approaches, or physical workspace. Please inform us if you need any accommodations during the recruitment process or in your day-to-day role.
