About the Role

As a Transport Supervisor you’ll be pushing for innovative solutions to create a more sustainable future for all. You will manage the efficient routing of the fleet across 12 recycling centres and 4 transfer stations throughout Nottinghamshire. Your responsibilities will include managing and updating driver rotas to meet service requirements and operational changes, ensuring compliance with EU Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive (WTD), scheduling vehicle servicing, MOT and LOLER inspections, and maintaining accurate records of vehicle maintenance and drivers' hours. You will conduct vehicle gate checks, driver worksafe observations, deliver toolbox talks and safety alerts, carry out daily driver debriefs and investigations, and perform regular weekly site visits to allocated transfer stations. Experience
Demonstrable experience working within a fast-paced transport or logistics environment
Strong working knowledge of transport legislation including EU Drivers' Hours, WTD and tachograph management
Experience managing Category C and C+E drivers
Proven ability to manage fleet compliance and vehicle maintenance scheduling
Strong organisational skills with experience maintaining accurate transport records
About You
Full, clean driving licence
Category C+E (HGV Class 1) licence desirable
Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively
Committed to health and safety and compliance standards
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
Relevant transport or logistics qualifications are advantageous but not essential
