About the Role

As a Workshop Supervisor, you will repair and maintain Veolia fleet and 3rd party vehicles/plant to factory and industry standards. You will perform vehicle diagnostics using specialized equipment and conduct hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic repairs. Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations and maintaining workplace safety standards will be key responsibilities. You will complete all required paperwork, timesheets, and operational update sheets accurately and timely. Your role will also include conducting HGV MOT inspections, preparations, and emergency roadside repairs. You will serve as the first point of contact for technicians, coordinating work allocation effectively, managing contractor communications, tire services, and performing 4-point MOT checks. Weekly workshop inspections and job card management will be part of your duties. You will ensure proper shift handovers and maintain technician productivity above 80%, as well as coordinate holiday schedules, training allocation, and wash operative coverage across all depots.

Experience
City & Guilds or HGV NVQ level 3 in vehicle maintenance and repairs
Good communication skills
Ability to work under pressure, actively seek solutions, and flexibility to undertake a wide range of tasks
IT skills
Knowledge of MOT regulations

Qualifications
Essential:
- City & Guilds or HGV NVQ level 3 vehicle maintenance and repairs
Desirable:
- Forklift licence (Counterbalance)
- HGV Licence
- Welding/fabrication skills
- Plant/RCV experience
- IRTEC approved
- Electrical knowledge
- Leadership experience
