Your responsibilities will include leading the coordination and delivery of environmental work by multi-disciplinary teams, including EIA, options appraisals, and environmental management. You will line manage a team of environmental professionals and champion high standards of environmental performance within multidisciplinary engineering projects, influencing project development to deliver optimal environmental outcomes. You will collate and edit information from various sources to produce clear, well-written reports, competently undertake your own work to a high standard, review the work of others, and manage clients’ needs professionally. Additionally, you will lead and support bid preparation and develop new business areas for the team. Experience
- Practical experience of environmental coordination, assessment, and management
- Chartered experience working on major infrastructure projects
- Relevant post-graduate experience, ideally within a consultancy environment
- Comprehensive knowledge of the EIA process and environmental technical expertise
- Experience of leadership within multidisciplinary teams
- Strong report writing, verbal and presentation skills
- Ability to review the work of others to ensure quality
- Proven ability to prioritise and work effectively under pressure
- Skilled in managing client relationships professionally
About you
- Degree or Masters in an environmental or science subject
- Flexible, adaptable, and willing to take on new challenges
- Prepared to work from other AtkinsRéalis or client office locations
- Highly self-motivated with strong enthusiasm and commitment to delivering sustainable outcomes
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate issues and ideas effectively
Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or higher in an environmental or related discipline
- Chartered status or working towards chartership
- Commitment to Continual Professional Development (CPD) in accordance with professional institute requirements
