As Business Manager - Commercial Waste, you will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of depot operations, including financial management, business development, strategic planning, and team management. You will deliver effective and safe services to maximum operational efficiency, within budget and to VMR standard.

You will lead and mentor a team of employees, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional development and Veolia values. Setting performance goals, conducting regular evaluations, and providing feedback to ensure team success will be key responsibilities. You will continuously monitor and evaluate operational performance to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.

Driving a culture of Customer Centricity, ensuring all Customer Service and Operational KPIs are maximised, will be essential. You will develop and manage the site budget, ensuring proper allocation of resources and utilisation of the most efficient disposal and recycling solutions.

Providing clear, transparent and accurate reporting of business performance, delivering operational efficiencies through digital media, asset utilisation and cost control will be part of your role. You will understand local market conditions, competitors and opportunities for growth.

As the Nominated Transport Manager 2, you will have overall responsibility for fleet management and delivering best in class transport compliance. You will foster relationships with key stakeholders, industry partners, and regulatory agencies to enhance business operations and market presence.

Monitoring the competitive landscape and developing strategies to maintain a competitive edge, as well as effectively delivering and promoting succinct business related messages and strategies to future customers, will be part of your remit.

Experience
Previous commercial waste management experience is essential. Financial and budget management experience is required. Fleet management experience is necessary. Strong understanding of waste management regulations, environmental sustainability, and waste disposal procedures is desirable.

Qualifications
IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH is desirable. Level 3 Leadership & Management or equivalent work experience is required. Transport CPC qualification is essential.
