As a Senior Solution Design Engineer, you will deliver conceptual and detailed design for energy systems including District Heating Networks, Energy Centres, HVAC, LTHW, Chilled Water, Heat Pumps (Air/Water/Geothermal Source), Low Carbon Heat Networks, Steam, and CHP.

What you'll be doing;
- Design diverse energy systems including district heating, energy centres, HVAC, heat pumps, CHP, and low-carbon networks.
- Conduct energy audits, identify efficiency improvements, and deploy innovative technologies to achieve net-zero targets.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams delivering mechanical designs, P&IDs, plant specifications, and integrated engineering solutions.
- Drive business development as Technical Lead from concept through proposal submission to construction handover.
- Deliver compelling client presentations showcasing technical capabilities and innovative solutions to complex challenges.
- Develop tender packages, manage approvals, and make critical decisions on project viability.
- Partner with clients to create resilient energy solutions delivering carbon reduction and cost savings across project lifecycles.
- Build strategic supplier relationships, manage project risks, and ensure robust contractual protection with partners.
- Champion innovation and mentor junior engineers, fostering technical excellence and creative problem-solving.

Experience
- Educated to degree level within Mechanical Engineering
- Experience designing energy systems
- Experience working within the energy industry
- Familiarity with large-scale thermal generating plants such as large shell & tube boilers and CHP engines
- Experience with Heat Pump systems and renewables
- AutoCAD experience
- UK Driving Licence

Qualifications
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent relevant qualification
