About the Role
Join a growing arboriculture team collaborating with award-winning ecology and natural capital specialists. Use your field expertise to shape projects across sectors including residential, defence, energy, transport, and government. You will deliver BS 5837 surveys, veteran and visual tree assessments, safety and risk surveys, and provide arboricultural advice. Responsibilities include preparing tree constraints and opportunities plans, management plans, impact assessments, and method statements; liaising with local authorities on Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs) and conservation areas; supervising site works; producing fee proposals and tenders; and supporting the Natural Capital team.

Your technical assessments and management advice will directly influence development design, protect valuable trees and habitats, and reduce project risk. You will improve project outcomes through clear, evidence-based reporting, quality assurance, and stakeholder engagement, while helping build an effective arboriculture capability across the business.

Five Core Capabilities
- Field Survey & Tree Assessment: Confidently deliver BS 5837, veteran tree and safety surveys using digital tools and recognised methods.
- Technical Reporting & QA: Produce concise, defensible reports, tree schedules, management plans and impact assessments with robust quality control.
- Stakeholder Liaison & Regulatory Knowledge: Engage local authorities, advise on TPOs and Conservation Areas, and guide compliance through development processes.
- Project & Site Management: Supervise site works, prepare competitive fee proposals and manage tasks to time and budget.
- Team Development & Leadership: Recruit, train and line-manage staff; foster skills development and support cross-team collaboration with ecology and natural capital specialists.
