Central London, with flexibility for other UK locations including Manchester and Leeds. Hybrid working is supported.

About the Role
Join a team delivering cutting-edge flood risk and water engineering solutions that protect communities and shape sustainable development. At Tetra Tech, you will work on high-impact projects across the UK, helping to tackle some of the most complex environmental challenges. As a Consultant or Engineer within our flood risk and water engineering team, you will support the delivery of a wide range of infrastructure and development projects valued between £1m and £100m. Your responsibilities will include flood risk solution design, hydraulic modelling, hydrology assessments, and drainage strategies incorporating SuDS and natural flood management. You will be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from early-stage optioneering and client engagement through to design delivery and project close-out. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and support for business growth activities are key aspects of this role. You will play an important role in delivering effective, sustainable flood risk and drainage solutions that support resilient communities and infrastructure. Your technical input will help clients navigate complex planning and environmental requirements, while your collaboration and mentoring will strengthen team capability and project outcomes.
Experience
Proven experience in flood risk assessment, hydraulic modelling, hydrology, and drainage design. Familiarity with river and surface water flood risk, SuDS, and natural flood management approaches. Experience working on UK projects is essential.

Qualifications
Degree in a relevant discipline related to flood risk or water engineering. Working towards or holding chartership with ICE or CIWEM is desirable. Full UK driving licence required. Eligibility for Security Clearance (SC) is advantageous.
