Reporting to the Assistant Contract Manager, you will be responsible for day-to-day operations, working closely with other members of the management team. This role may involve some weekend working.

Your key responsibilities will include monitoring refuse and recycling collection crews and carrying out inspections, ensuring fleet compliance, and maintaining high health and safety standards. You will also manage timesheets, maintain staff levels within budget, brief staff on roles and responsibilities, issue toolbox talks as required, and conduct inductions.

A relocation package is available for the right candidate.

Experience
Previous supervisory experience is essential. Experience working in recycling, waste management, or a busy logistics operation involving fleet compliance is highly desirable. Proven ability to demonstrate good working practices and make sound decisions is required.

About you
You should be confident managing and working with a team, possess good IT skills including experience with Microsoft packages, and hold a valid driving licence. A HGV licence is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications
You must have or be able to achieve within 12 months the Certificate of Technical Competence (COTC) in transfer and treatment of hazardous waste and a CPC qualification in national road haulage.
