About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Roofer to join our renewable energy team, preparing residential roofs for solar PV installations. You’ll install roof mounting systems, carry out roofing alterations and repairs where required, and ensure all work is safe, weatherproof and completed to a high standard. You will work closely with our Solar PV Electricians to deliver high-quality installations while providing a professional service to customers in their homes.

Key responsibilities include preparing domestic roofs for solar PV installations; installing roof hooks, mounting rails, flashing kits and associated fixings; removing and reinstating concrete, clay, slate and composite roof coverings; carrying out minor roofing repairs and ensuring all roof penetrations are weatherproof; inspecting roofs and reporting any defects or concerns before installation; working safely at height and following all health & safety procedures; completing work to company and manufacturer quality standards; maintaining a clean, tidy and professional working environment; working collaboratively with electricians and other installation teams; representing the company professionally when working in customers’ homes; and maintaining company vehicles, tools and equipment.

Experience
Proven experience in domestic roofing with strong knowledge of pitched roofing systems including tiled and slate roofs. Experience working safely at height and installing roofing systems and fixings accurately. Previous solar PV roof mounting experience is required.

Qualifications
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Roofing Occupations (or equivalent).
CSCS Skilled Worker Card.
Working at Height certification.
PASMA or IPAF certification.
Asbestos Awareness.
Manual Handling.
First Aid at Work.
Full UK Driving Licence.
