About the Role
The Solar Technical Auditor is responsible for inspecting, assessing, and verifying the quality, performance, and compliance of solar installations. This role ensures that all Solar PV and Battery Storage projects meet technical standards, safety regulations, and contractual requirements, contributing to high-quality installations and customer satisfaction. This is primarily an office-based role conducting desktop technical audits of solar PV systems, including new installations, upgrades, and maintenance checks. You will inspect system design, installation workmanship, and overall functionality to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Reviewing project documentation such as design plans, permits, and test results is essential. You will identify technical defects, safety hazards, or performance issues and provide detailed reports with recommendations for corrective actions. Collaboration with installation teams, engineers, and project managers to address audit findings and ensure remediation is key. The role also involves monitoring compliance with company policies, industry best practices, and relevant codes (e.g., NEC, IEC standards), supporting continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on common issues and trends, maintaining accurate records of audits and follow-ups, staying updated on advancements in solar technology and regulatory requirements, and assisting in training and mentoring installation teams on audit requirements and quality expectations.
