About the Role
At M Group Energy, we deliver essential infrastructure services across electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering, and home decarbonisation. As part of our Metering team, the leading provider of metering services in the UK energy retail sector, you will play a vital role in installing, maintaining, and managing gas, electricity, and water meters to ensure accurate billing and monitor energy usage patterns.
In this role, you will investigate, detect, and prevent gas and electricity theft in residential and commercial properties. You will ensure installations are safe and collaborate with suppliers to determine further actions. Collecting evidence and providing information to clients for decision-making will be part of your responsibilities.
You will also be involved in debt recovery work, which may include installing SMART meters or de-energising/disconnecting supplies. As a Revenue Protection Officer / Dual Fuel Engineer Meter Operator, you will demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and excellent customer service skills, remaining calm and professional in challenging situations.

Experience
- Experience installing gas and electric smart meters
- Previous experience as a Revenue Protection Officer / Dual Fuel Engineer Meter Operator or in conflict management is useful but not essential
About you
- Strong customer service background with the ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
- Positive, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset
- Full UK driving licence with less than 6 points
Qualifications
- CCN1 / CMA1 / CMA3 with MET1
- NVQ Level 2 in Smart Metering (Dual Fuel) / MOCOPA
- 3-phase qualification / CT / Medium Pressure (desirable but not essential)
