About the Role
Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. This role provides support for delivering client-facing consultancy services including the advisory, management and co-ordination of various climate change, sustainability and social value related activities on projects and programmes. You will support Mace’s wider corporate ambitions to reduce client carbon emissions to meet organisational targets.
Join our expanding Sizewell C (SZC) team and work on one of the most exciting and largest megaprojects in the UK, at the forefront of the UK’s climate change agenda and energy policy. Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years.
Key responsibilities include delivering project climate and social value strategies, agreeing outcomes and assuring team delivery, providing measurable and purpose-led sustainability outcomes, managing technical sustainability expertise and innovation, advising stakeholders on complex sustainability issues, supporting bids and client engagement, championing Mace leadership in climate sustainability, and developing inclusive teams delivering net zero.
Experience
Proven experience in an environmental management role. Knowledge of UK environmental legislation. Awareness of client/contractor relationships and legal responsibilities under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. Experience operating within an environmental management system (EMS) conforming to recognised standards such as BS EN ISO14001:2004.
