About the Role
Join Anglian Water Services Ltd as a Field Technician in Water Recycling Services, playing a vital role in safeguarding the environment, public health, and maintaining critical infrastructure. You will address issues in our network including blockages, odours, flooding, and incidents, delivering exceptional service while adhering to environmental regulatory standards.
As part of the standby roster, you will be prepared to undertake additional out-of-hours work to ensure uninterrupted service delivery. Safety is paramount, and you will be expected to uphold health and safety protocols diligently.
Our team operates over 7,000 pumping stations and a network of 76,000 kilometres of sewers leading to more than 1,000 water recycling centres, making your role essential to our mission.
Your duties will include:
- Operating a single person high pressure water jetting unit (training provided) and specific CCTV equipment to identify and promote repair work on the sewerage network
- Taking ownership to investigate and offer first-time resolutions for sewerage issues encountered by customers
- Responding to incidents and completing planned maintenance work
- Accurately recording all site feedback through IT systems
- Predominantly lone working while engaging with internal and external customers daily

Experience
- Experience or willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Hands-on/manual experience is beneficial but not essential
- Basic IT skills
About you
- Ability to work autonomously and use your own initiative
- Excellent customer service skills
- Full driving licence required; a 4.5 tonne licence is advantageous (training will be provided if needed)
- Ability to work safely within confined spaces and at height without restrictions
- Maximum weight of 113 kilograms due to harness weight limits
- Willingness to complete relevant occupational health checks including Hand-arm Vibration (HAV)
