About the Role
The Anglian Water Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) project involves the planning, design and construction of approximately 320km of new strategic, large diameter, clean water interconnector pipelines and associated infrastructure across Anglian Water’s region. The SPA Alliance is also responsible for future interconnector pipelines, adding a further 260km of strategic pipelines and infrastructure.
As a General Foreperson within the Project Delivery team, you will drive delivery through both pre-construction and on-site phases. You will be responsible for operational delivery on specific non-infrastructure projects, supporting buildability in pre-construction and ensuring smooth onsite delivery, working alongside a wider delivery team.
Key responsibilities include delivering site inductions, daily and safety briefings to framework contractor personnel, ensuring all works are planned and executed safely, efficiently and cost-effectively. You will coordinate vehicle and plant movements, promote a strong health and safety culture, manage material deliveries and site security, and support Site Agents and Engineers with planning and programme adherence. You will also coordinate framework contractors’ activities, review site productivity, maintain detailed site records including daily diaries and photographic evidence, and assist with Inspection and Test Records completion.

Experience
- Construction industry experience
- Experience supervising subcontractors
- Understanding of engineering principles and construction techniques
- Previous water industry experience preferred
- Experience working on large, complex sites
- Strong health and safety focus with ability to identify hazards and challenge unsafe behaviours
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Experience completing detailed site records including quantities of work completed

- SMSTS qualification
- Gold (Supervisor) or Black (Construction Site Management) CSCS card
- Lift Supervisor certification
- New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) Supervisors qualification
- EUSR National Water Hygiene Standards ‘Blue Card’
